These Maple Sage Pork Patties are just the thing you want to serve along side some scrambled eggs and a some berries for a perfect weekend breakfast. I adore the fresh sage and maple syrup along with the pork, it is such a great combination of flavors. The maple adds just a hint of sweetness and he edges become nicely caramelized.
Maple Sage Pork Patties
The perfect maple pork patties, that come together fast and easy.
- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic microplained or finely diced
- 1 teaspoon salt/pepper (omit pepper for AIP)
- oil for pan if needed
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Start by creating 2 inch round patties
Set them to side until all the meat is shaped in to patties.
Heat a nonstick pan to medium heat. Add a little oil to the pan if needed.
Without crowding the pan, start cooking the patties. Cooking them in batches if necessary.
Cook 4-6 minutes on each side, depending on thickness or until golden brown
Remove from pan and let any excess fat drain on to a paper towel.
